Through my current role in McKesson, I have had some great experience working within a shared services environment. I wanted to build on this as shared services are becoming more and more popular for multi-national companies both within Ireland and abroad.
What value did you find the course/training brought to your role in McKesson?
This course has allowed me to learn about different parts of the business which I don’t deal with directly in my day to day role. For example, one of my more recent assignments was focused on Real Estate and Facilities which allowed me to sit down with the Real Estate Relationship Manager and understand that department more which has been so interesting.
It has also helped me understand our business more and why decisions have been made. As I learn more about the GBS structure which helps me to view the business from a leadership perspective.
How did McKesson help in reaching your educational goals?
McKesson were super supportive of me going for this course as well as continuing with the next level of the course which I started in Sept 2019. My line manger has really been encouraging from the start.
Everyone at McKesson Cork I have reached out to or picked their brain on a function has been really supportive and willing to help out! The willingness to help within McKesson has been amazing.
